Why Bake Off?

The Great British Bake Off is an iconic British TV show worshipped by the British public. Being the most watched TV show of 2016, Bake Off has a large fan base of young and old. Light-hearted, comedic and full of drama, this show makes an exciting topic for a musical and will attract a wide audience of both Bake Off and musical theatre fans. It made it a very appropriate choice for a show in MTS’ 25th anniversary year, as it generated plenty of interest and excitement within and around the society.
Although a fictional scenario, avid Bake Off fans were excited to see the ever-popular characters of Mel, Sue, Mary and Paul brought to the stage, complete with song, dance and plenty of cake!
