Weekend Show 2013 - Andrew Lloyd Webber

One Show. One Weekend.

Photo Gallery

In February 2012 Musical Theatre Society embarked on a challenge. This was to put on a show in the space of three days all in the name of charity.  In 2012 we celebrated the musicals of Boubil and Schonberg (Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre, and Les Miserables). After a sell-out success, The MTS Weekend Show returned once again in February 2013, this time to celebrate to work of Andrew Lloyd Webber. All proceeds this year went to the National Aids Trust.

This year MTS took on the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. This included songs from musicals such as Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita and more.

National Aids Trust

The National Aids Trust is the UK's leading charity dedicated to transforming society's response to HIV. Their service provides fresh thinking, expertise and practical resources. They champion the rights of people living with HIV and campaign for change.

Their vision is a world in which people living with HIV are treated as equal citizens with respect, dignity and justice, are diagnosed early and receive the highest standards of care, and in which everyone knows how and is able to protect themselves and others from HIV infection.

Our Weekend show raised £167 for the charity thanks for kind donations from our audience members and the ticket sales. A big thank you to all cast members for giving up their time to perform for such a great cause. Thank you as well for the generosity of our audience members.
